• PLJBD was selected to design the renovation of the Municipal Building into a Justice Center.  

• Responsibilities included scheduling meetings with the Police Department, Fire Department, Prosecuting Attorney’s office, and Courts Department to determine their space needs.  

• PLJBD developed a schedule of construction phases that allowed the departments to remain in the building during construction.  

• The former Council Chamber was converted into a courtroom that accommodates over 150 people.

• A memorial and display was built for the Police Department.

• A storm/fire resistant evidence building was added to provide a secure environment to store crucial evidence.
